Greg Lestrade is a detective working for New Scotland Yard. Although he's a great detective by most means, when he gets desperate, he contacts Sherlock Holmes to help him with cases. It's happens sometimes. Okay, it happens a lot. Perhaps more out of convenience than inability as their relationship grows stronger.

Outside of work, Greg is a nice guy - friendly, happy, relaxed. He could bring his work home with him, especially on more trying cases, but typically he just wants to kick back and enjoy the company of those he's with, especially the ladies. Although he was married once, his relationship fell apart after Sherlock alerted him to the fact that his wife was cheating on him with a gym teacher thanks bro. He's currently single.

As of May 16th, 2014, Greg is being played from the end of Sherlock season three. All BBC Sherlock characters will be recognized, so long as Greg has heard of or seen them.
